Alicia S. James, MD, graduated from Stanford University in Stanford, California, and earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. She then completed her family medicine residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina.
During her residency, Dr. James served as vice president of the residency council and as a member of a pediatric task force. She also volunteered at Epworth Children’s Home in Columbia, South Carolina, and at Good Samaritan Clinic in West Columbia, South Carolina, providing primary and maternal care to underserved patients in the community. A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. James is certified in advanced cardiac life support and has specific interest in women’s health.
